Getting Started FAQs
How do I schedule my first appointment?
You can schedule your first appointment by calling our office, filling out the contact form above, or using our secure online scheduling portal. Our intake coordinator will ask a few brief questions about your concerns and preferences to match you with the therapist best suited to your needs. We typically schedule new clients within one to two weeks.
Do you accept insurance for therapy?
Yes, we are in-network providers with most major insurance companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and many Employee Assistance Programs. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid. Our billing team will verify your benefits and explain your coverage, copay, and deductible amount before your first session. Sliding scale fees are available for uninsured clients.
Is therapy confidential?
Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship and is protected by law. Everything discussed in therapy sessions remains strictly private between you and your therapist. There are very limited exceptions mandated by law, such as imminent danger to yourself or others, which your therapist will explain during your first session. We take your privacy very seriously.
Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?
Yes, we offer secure video therapy sessions through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform for clients who prefer the convenience of meeting from home. Virtual sessions are available for individual therapy, couples therapy, and certain group therapy programs. Many clients find teletherapy equally effective and appreciate the flexibility it provides for fitting therapy into busy schedules.
