Teen & Adolescent Counseling

The teenage years can feel like a rollercoaster — for teens and their families. Our counselors specialize in creating a judgment-free space where young people feel comfortable opening up about school pressure, friendships, identity, self-esteem, and more. We work collaboratively with parents while respecting the teen's need for autonomy and confidentiality, helping the whole family navigate this chapter together.

  • Academic stress and school-related challenges
  • Social media, peer pressure, and bullying
  • Identity exploration and self-esteem building
  • Family conflict and communication coaching
  • Mood regulation and emotional resilience
  • Collaboration with parents, schools, and providers

Common Questions About Therapy

I've never been to therapy before. What should I expect?
Your first session is all about getting comfortable. We'll learn about what brought you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and start building a plan together. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready for — we go at your pace. Many people feel relieved just from that first conversation.
Is everything I say in therapy confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic relationship. What you share stays between you and your therapist, with very limited exceptions required by law (such as imminent risk of harm). We'll explain our confidentiality policies clearly during your first session so you feel completely safe.
How long does therapy take? How often do I need to come?
It depends on your goals and situation. Some people find relief in 8–12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Most clients start with weekly sessions and adjust frequency over time as they progress. We'll regularly check in about what's working and make sure therapy remains helpful and relevant to your life.
